Warranty & Limited Liability Agreement
This is placeholder legal language for review by an attorney before publishing — not a finished contract.
What this limited warranty covers
If your AERIS unit fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship during normal skydiving use, Sirius Design will repair or replace it, or the defective part, at no charge, for [coverage period — e.g. 1 year] from the original purchase date. Coverage applies only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase.
What this limited warranty does not cover
This warranty does not cover damage from impact, drops, water intrusion, neglect, misuse, unauthorized modification, or use outside the product's intended purpose. AERIS units are built for skydiving use only. Units received as part of a giveaway, contest, or promotion are not covered.
How to get warranty service
Contact us at [support email] with your proof of purchase and a description of the issue before sending anything in. We'll confirm next steps once we've reviewed your claim.
Limitation of liability
By using an AERIS product, you acknowledge that you are solely responsible for your own altitude awareness and safety on every skydive, as described in our Safety Warning. To the fullest extent the law allows, Sirius Design's total liability for any claim relating to an AERIS product is limited to repair, replacement, or refund of the purchase price, at our option — and we are not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the product, whether or not it was defective.
Any implied warranties — including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose — are limited to the same duration as this written warranty. Some states don't allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts, or exclusions of incidental or consequential damages, so these limits may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights that vary by state.
